One Time Projects

Done In A Day (DIAD)
The Junior League of Los Angeles (JLLA) volunteers, friends, and family turn out for a myriad of events that can be completed in one day and that contribute significantly to our vision of a greater Los Angeles. Past events include: hosting a Halloween Party for the children of the Violence Intervention Program at LAS/USC; Reading Across America with the Wonder of Reading; cleaning up the beach in conjunction with Heal the Bay, holding a carnival for the children at Children's Hospital, participating in the Meals-On-Wheels program; holding a cooking and nutrition class for an after school program at the Boys and Girls Club of Venice and many other events which are fun and educational.  These events are planned and executed by the DIAD committee and fill a need that our community partners could not have met without our help.

If your nonprofit agency has a special need that could be addressed as a Done In A Day project, please email: diad@jlla.org with a description of your need and appropriate contact information.  (Please note that Junior League of Los Angeles cannot support events that have already been planned and are solely in need of volunteers.  In addition, JLLA cannot provide volunteers for the fundraiser of another non-profit agency.)
