Julie Guest has been a member of the Junior League of Los Angeles since 1994, and has served in a variety of leadership positions including JLLA President, Community Director, Projects Director, Chair of the Legacy Leadership Circle, Chair of the Projects Evaluation Committee and Sustaining Advisor for three League Presidents and several councils.
Originally from Northern New Jersey, Julie attended Duke University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy Studies. At Duke, she met her husband who is a native of Southern California. They have been married for 31 years and have two adult sons.
Her professional career includes ten years of hotel sales and marketing experience as well as four years working for former South Bay Congresswomen, Jane Harman. She has over thirty years of nonprofit management experience.
Currently, Julie serves as Immediate Past Board Chair of The People Concern which provides permanent supportive housing for the homeless; she is also a member of the Coro Executive Fellows Advisory Committee. From 2007-10, she served as President of the Duke Club of Southern California.
In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her beagle, reading, cooking, wine tasting and vacationing in Baja and West Yellowstone, Montana.
