#JLLASTORIES

This year JLLA is sharing personal stories from our members about why they have joined, why they continue their membership and what being a member means to them. Thank you Jenn Shulman for sharing!

In January 2014 I attended an awesome Public Policy Institute training on government boards. I shared with the speaker that I was interested in sitting on the State of California Acupuncture Board and she gave me the name of a woman at the Governor’s office to speak to. The next morning I had my first phone interview! The League is filled with doors. I’m often reminded of the expression “if you want something done right away, ask a busy person to do it”. I think this sums up all the women who add the League to their already busy schedules and manage to get everything done. #JLLAstories #WCW
